Brief:

The renowned and well-established civil construction company, Bam, required our expertise and assistance for their latest project involving the construction of the Boston Barrier.

Solution:

Nee Formwork were responsible for getting the large-scale project to completion in time for commissioning, we worked around the clock, working in 12-hour shifts so that constant output could be accomplished. 

We were also the sole team working on the docking bay. Using specialist Dawson's shutters, we constructed a slab that cantilevered over the sheet piles. The project was eventually delivered on time and handed over to the client on the program

Outcome:

We played a crucial role in completing the Boston Barrier on target, the time-critical delivery of the mechanical barrier took many hours to prepare for, all hinging on a high tide which happened once a month. The project was unique with its 30-metre radius walls, 150 cubic metre wall pours and night shifts all made this a very demanding yet satisfying venture which was achieved to the highest standards.
